Biography
Alessandra Ambrósio is nowadays one of the most requested models in the world. Besides being part of campaigns and fashion shows, she has just started her jobs in the movies, making a participation on James Bond’s last movie.
She was discovered by Dílson Stein and her first work was the cover for Carícia magazine in 1996. After that, she made the cover for Marie Claire magazine, an editorial for Guess?, as well as other works for Girl and Revlon. She has already modeled for Ferndi, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Nicole Moleiro and Oscar de la Renta, and has been photographed for Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Glamour, and others.
Alessandra is also part of the selected group of Brazilian models who have started Victoria’s Secret’s campaigns, one of the greatest lingeries label, and one of the most wanted by the models campaigns. The model is estimated to receive 800 thousand dollars by Victoria’s Secret every year. In her contract with the label, it’s set that the label can use the model at least one hundred days per year, that’s why Alessandra travels at least twice a week. Besider her affirmation that she loves model life, Alessandra confesses that one of the best part is the money, whick is invested on buildings. She bought a duplex in Manhattan, valued at 2 million dollars, her second building in New York, and the fourth acquired by her. She already has an apartment in Florianópolis and is finishing a house in Erechim. Besides, she has acquired a piece of land on Lagoa da Conceição, where she intends to live for the rest of her life, after retiring.
